Penguin Protect started with a frustration that our founder, Corey Francis, saw firsthand across 18+ years in finance and operations leadership: businesses invest in technology that doesn't talk to each other, hire “experts” who speak in jargon, and end up paying enterprise rates for half-finished solutions. After managing large-scale AP operations, leading teams, and earning certifications from CompTIA, Google, and Microsoft in cybersecurity—he decided to fix it.

Today, Corey serves as Director of AP Operations at Vertex Education, where he's actively deploying agentic AI to streamline business processes—proving every day that these tools deliver real results when guided by someone who understands both the technology and the business problem.
